Level 5 Soft Tissue Therapist
Qualifying as a soft tissue therapist has been an amazing journey. More often people think of it as Sports Massage. The reality is there is a big difference between just sports massage and soft tissue therapy
Why I Trained
Being in sport has always been part of my life, from hockey, netball and lately to cycling and running to entering events!
I learnt the lesson the hard way! Leaving injuries to heal on their own and not looking after myself whilst training for a Duathlon. The result was chronic injuries that stopped me from doing what I loved.
I was treated by an excellent soft tissue therapist and wanted to learn more. I decided to study at The London School of Sports Massage tutored by Mel Cash.
Along Came Foundation Training
It's funny how things find their way into you life. I had never even heard of Foundation Training. My sister had been going to a local class where she lives in Scotland. She was just so positive about how much it had helped her with two frozen shoulders.
I recognised that being a soft tissue therapist was only part of the story. I needed additional skills to help people to be able to manage their chronic pain and to be able to move better. Training with Dr Eric Goodman, the creator of Foundation Training, has given me additional tools to help anyone suffering with chronic pain.
I am growing a busy practice in Rainham, Kent. I work with so many different people, from all walks of life and it is so rewarding seeing them move and feel better!
